Is this really a one-time payment? No renewals?

Yes, truly. You pay once and you own it indefinitely. There are no annual renewals, no subscription fees, and no recurring billing of any kind. Your license does not expire. We built it this way intentionally — AEC firms already pay enough annual software fees.

What happens to my license if I buy a new computer?

Your license comes with you. Email support@trinhtools.com and we'll transfer your activation to the new machine at no charge. There is no limit on how many times you can transfer.

Are future updates and new tools really included at no extra cost?

Yes. Every update — bug fixes, new features, and even entirely new tools added to the Trinh Tools suite — goes to all existing license holders at no charge. You bought the suite; you get everything we add to it.

Can I share the Firm license across multiple offices?

A Firm license covers up to 5 computers within a single organization, regardless of location. If your engineers are split across offices but all work for the same firm, one Firm license covers them all. Need more than 5 seats? Contact us for Enterprise pricing.

Do the tools require an internet connection to run?

Only for the initial one-time license activation. After that, all tools run completely and permanently offline — no internet connection is ever needed to process files, generate output, or use any feature. There is no periodic check-in or revalidation requirement.

What if I buy and it doesn't work for my firm's naming conventions?

Use the free 30-day trial first — that's exactly what it's there for. Test it on your actual projects with your actual file naming before purchasing. If a technical issue arises after purchase that wasn't present during trial, contact support@trinhtools.com and we'll work to resolve it.

Does this replace Bluebeam?

No — and it's not trying to. Trinh Tools handles the PDF workflow steps that happen before and around Bluebeam: merging exports from Revit, fixing Revit PDF coordinates so Bluebeam Batch Sign & Seal works correctly, building permit packages, and keeping your drawing sets organized. Think of it as the tool that makes your Bluebeam workflow actually work.

What is your refund policy?

The 30-day free trial is your evaluation period — full access, no payment required, test on real projects. Because of that, there is no standard post-purchase refund window. If you experience a documented technical failure after purchase that we cannot resolve, contact support@trinhtools.com and we will review your case individually.

Do I need admin rights to install?

No. The installer is fully portable and does not modify system files, the Windows registry, or require elevated permissions. Start Menu shortcuts are created in your user profile only. It works in most managed IT environments — ask your IT team to whitelist the install folder if you hit restrictions.

Does the software upload my PDF files anywhere?

No. All processing happens locally on your computer. Your PDF files, file names, folder paths, and project data are never transmitted anywhere. The only external communication is the one-time license activation on first use, which sends only your license key and your computer name. After that, the software operates entirely offline with no outbound network calls.
