Phung Trinh, operating as Trinh Tools, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we do not collect.

This policy applies to the Trinh Tools website (trinhtools.com) and all Trinh Tools desktop software products.

The short version

Your PDF files never leave your computer. We don't read them, scan them, or transmit them anywhere. The only data the software sends is your license key, your computer name, and a timestamp — to verify your license is valid. That's it.

Your files stay on your computer. We only verify that your license key is valid.

What the software collects

License validation only: your license key, your computer name (e.g. "JOHNS-PC"), and the date/time of the check. No PDF content, no file names, no folder paths, no project data.

What the software does NOT collect

  • PDF files or document content
  • File names or folder paths
  • Project information or sheet data
  • IP addresses from the software
  • Tracking software, keyloggers, or analytics

What the website collects

  • Analytics (aggregated, anonymous) via Google Analytics or similar
  • Essential cookies for website functionality only — no advertising cookies
  • Your email if you contact us or sign up for updates

What we collect when you buy

When you purchase a license, Dodo Payments processes your payment. We receive your name, email, and license key — never your full payment details. We use this only to deliver your license key and provide support.

How we use your information

  • License validation and activation management
  • Delivering your license key after purchase
  • Responding to support requests
  • Notifying you of important updates (only if you opt in)

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, ever.

Data storage

License data is stored locally at %APPDATA%\TrinhTools\license.json. Our license server uses HTTPS. We retain purchase records for the duration of your license plus one year.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold. Email support@trinhtools.com. Note that deleting license data will deactivate your software.

California residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
